Legal Services
In providing legal services, the company specializes in working closely with small and medium sized businesses in the Montreal area, assisting them with their contractual and commercial relationships and corporate structure.
In this area of the company’s work, it specializes in corporate structure, general commercial agreements, property and leasing transactions, employment matters, intellectual property rights and copyright.
The company is owned by Richard Dermer, a long-time resident of Montreal and small business owner himself from 1985 to 1994. Richard graduated Vassar College with a Bachelor of Arts in History, followed by graduating with a Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill Law School and becoming a member of the Quebec Bar in 1994. Richard has served on the board and committees of various community based organizations, and served on the Board and Executive of the Canadian Independent Record Production Association from 2002-2008. In recent years, Richard has been a presenter at various music conferences around North America, presenting on Canadian tax issues for touring artists.
Director of International Client Services Nadine Benny graduated from Concordia University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Commerce – Marketing major – and a certificate from the Institute for Co-operative Education, where she completed internships in advertising, artist management, and the non-profit sector. A classically trained pianist, Nadine completed the McGill Conservatory of Music program. Nadine speaks French and English fluently and completed a Certificate in Law at Université de Montréal in 2011.
International Client Coordinator Kayla Papps joined RAM Management in 2019 after graduating from McGill University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and quickly became a valued resource to our office and trusted point person for our music and business management clients.
